It’s not just pre-launched information anymore, now Dell offering Studio 17 and Studio XPS 16 with WiMAX option sold in the U.S.
In the begining Dell announced in their blog that it was 3notebooks;Studio 15, Studio 17 and Studio XPS16. But recently Dell madecorrection they offer WiMAX option only in Studio 17 and Studio XPS 16and not available in Studio 15.

US customers who order a Studio 17 or Studio XPS 16 will see a Intel5150 WiMAX/Wireless-N combo card option for a $60 upgrade price fromthe 802.11g default wireless option.

The Intel WiMAX/Wi-Fi Link 5150 designed in two version which are Minicard (MC) and Half-mini card version (HMC).

It can only connect to a 1×2 array, one transmit and two pick-upsantenna. We don’t know which version is in Studio 17 nor in Studio XPS16.Presumably it’s MC version, because HMC version mostly fit best innetbook,UMPC or MID.
